Technician
At Conference Audio Visual, our technicians are the heart of every event we deliver. From corporate conferences and gala dinners to product launches and live broadcasts, our team brings ideas to life through sound, vision, lighting, and staging.
As a CAV technician, you’ll work alongside a tight-knit crew of skilled professionals who love what they do. No two days look the same. One day you might be rigging a ballroom for a 500-person awards night, the next you’re mixing audio for a hybrid product launch or running vision for a high-profile keynote. You’ll get hands-on with industry-leading gear, sharpen your craft on real shows, and have your work seen by audiences across Australia.

Senior Technician
Our Senior Technicians are the backbone of every show we deliver. They lead the crew on site, take ownership of the technical outcome, and make sure every event runs the way our clients expect: smoothly, professionally, and without surprises.
As a Senior Tech at CAV, you’ll run the room. You’ll brief the crew, set the standard for setup and operation, and be the senior point of contact for clients, venues, and project managers from bump-in through to bump-out. One week you might be calling the shots on a national conference, the next you’re heading up the technical delivery of a gala dinner or a hybrid product launch. The shows are big, the gear is industry-leading, and the stakes are real.
We’re looking for experienced AV professionals who can lead calmly under pressure, troubleshoot on the fly, and bring out the best in the crew around them. In return, you’ll get steady, high-quality work, priority access to our best shows, and a team that backs you to do the job properly. Warehouse Technician
Our Warehouse Technician keeps every show on the rails. They prep the gear, test it, fix it, and make sure everything we send out is event-ready and safe to switch on.
As a Warehouse Tech at CAV, you’ll own the gear. You’ll prep and test to run-sheets, test and tag to AS/NZS 3760, repair faults across audio, vision and lighting, and turn kit around between jobs. One day you’re heads-down in the warehouse, the next you’re on-site for the bump-in. The gear is industry-leading, the schedule is busy, and the work matters.
We’re looking for one hands-on technician who can solve problems without being asked, takes pride in the small things, and backs themselves to figure it out. Test & Tag (or willing to get it) and a manual licence are a must. In return you’ll get steady contract work, performance-based incentives, and a team that backs you to do the job properly.
